Creation of a Unified Geodatabase of Adjara's Forest and Municipal Roads

We present the initiative to create a unified geodatabase of forest and municipal roads in Adjara, implemented within the framework of the GREEN Caucasus project.

The project aimed to identify forest roads and bring them into a unified structured system, which is of paramount importance for improving the development and management of the forest infrastructure of Adjara.

During the project implementation, existing road data was analyzed and processed based on open source satellite and orthophoto images, resulting in the creation of a unified spatial layer of forest roads in Adjara. Which includes both identified and unidentified roads.

We are pleased to have won the competition announced by CENN, made our heartfelt contribution and supported one of the important initiatives for the development of Georgia's forest infrastructure. The project is funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).
