20 May 2023

Technovation Girls 2023 Georgia's very interesting and at the same time exciting event was held on May 20-21, 2023 at Alte University

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news and join in the celebration. On May 20-21, 2023, Alte University hosted an engaging and captivating event called Technovation Girls 2023 Georgia. This event was led by Nana Dikhaminjia, Director of the Digital Transformation Center, who also serves as the Georgian ambassador for this international project.
During the event, teams of enthusiastic girls with a passion for technology showcased their projects, which were developed with the guidance of volunteer mentors and experts. A dedicated panel of judges carefully selected three semi-finalist teams in both the junior (12-15 years) and senior (16-18 years) age categories.

We are delighted to announce that our company, Idea Design Group, is proud to support and be a fan of this remarkable project. On May 20, Mariam Zangaladze, our company's manager, had the honor of attending the presentation event for the junior girls' teams as a jury member. Furthermore, the winning team members from both age categories received special gifts generously provided by our company.
For the second year in a row, Georgia has participated in the Technovation Girls international project, joining tens of thousands of girls from over a hundred countries in its twelfth year. Through this program, girls engage in a series of activities, including exploring problems in their communities, developing ideas to solve them, studying the technological aspects of implementing those ideas, and collaborating as teams to create mobile applications or artificial intelligence prototypes.
The project is supported by the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) and the STEM Teachers' Association, with media support from Forbes Women Georgia. Other project supporters include TBC Bank, Idea Design Group, Cezanne Publishing, HT Solutions, Edison, Edutech, and Bakur Sulakauri publishing house.

It is truly exciting that this year, 550 girls from Georgia registered for the project, with 249 girls presenting their final projects as part of 61 teams. As part of the project, all participating girls will be invited to a three-day summer camp, where they will have the opportunity to share experiences, meet volunteer technology experts, and gain valuable insights that will help them enhance their projects and embark on new ones in the future.
The projects presented by the semi-finalist teams from Georgia will undergo evaluation by an international jury alongside semi-finalist teams from all participating countries. Subsequently, the finalist teams will have the opportunity to travel to California in the fall, where the final round will take place to determine the ultimate winners.
