The United Nations Association of Georgia (UNA Georgia) and the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) organized an event titled "Partnership for Impact Tbilisi Conference, from Blueprints to Breakthroughs".
The conference's primary focus was on the involvement of public and private sectors in sustainable development. It explored how partnerships with the private sector can impact key issues such as education, health, gender equality, access to innovation, and others locally and globally.
During this event, attendees had the opportunity to listen to world-renowned specialists who shared their experience on strategic topics including:
- Promoting civil society and the private sector
- Sustainable development: raising education quality and accessibility
- Gender equality: equal leadership opportunities for women
- Georgia's investment and trade potential
- Investments in technical/professional skills
- Strengthening small/medium enterprises' financial services access while increasing economic stability
- Climate change impacts on health care
- Healthcare system access improvements
- Innovations for a sustainable future through Georgian startup promotion/strengthening
The UNA Georgia is part of WFUNA – a non-commercial organization working towards democratic advancement since 1995. Protecting democratic aspirations, human rights, freedom of speech, promoting good governance and stimulating community involvement are its main goals.
This conference analyzed member states' efforts toward achieving the UN's seventeen-point plan for sustainable development - including Georgia's contribution.
