We are pleased to share with you that we are launching a new project - Citizen Digital Engagement for Green Transformation.

Project aims to strengthen digital skills among youth and teachers, promote citizen science approaches, and improve access to environmental data to support local green transition.

A new project, "Smart Communities: Digital Skills, Citizen Science and Data for Green Transition in Poti and Khobi Municipalities," is launching in the municipalities of Poti and Khobi. The project aims to strengthen digital skills among young people and teachers, promote citizen science approaches, and improve access to environmental data to support local green transition.

The project is built around three main components:

Digital Ambassadors Program

Young people (aged 16–29) and school teachers from Poti and Khobi municipalities will participate in a series of practical training sessions designed to strengthen digital literacy, online safety, responsible use of artificial intelligence, and the effective use of digital tools and platforms. Participants will also learn how to apply these skills to support their schools, communities, and local development initiatives.

Citizen Science

Participants will take part in educational environmental monitoring activities using the EcoLab educational monitoring kit. They will collect, analyse, and interpret environmental data from different locations and use the findings to promote environmental awareness within their communities.

Through the programme, participants will:

• use the EcoLab educational environmental monitoring toolkit;

• participate in environmental data collection and analysis;

• strengthen their STEM, analytical, and research skills.

GoGreen Digital Hub

Environmental data collected throughout the project, together with educational resources and information about local initiatives, will be made available through the GoGreen platform. The platform will serve as a digital hub for environmental information, green transition, and community dialogue in Poti and Khobi municipalities.

Registration for the first training programmes for young people and teachers will open shortly. Further information about the application process and upcoming project activities will be announced soon.

The project is implemented by Idea Design Group within the framework of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project "Green Future, Rights and Stability," with financial support from the Government of Denmark.
